ARTifacts for May

I'm once again joining Seth Apter, this time with my May ARTifacts journal entry.

This is the spread that Seth will show on his blog.  Everything else is detail.

This has been a tumultuous month and there have been days when my head was not in the game (or my blog).  I want to thank each of you who has been there for me.  You'll never know how much it has meant to me.

As you can see, I hope to create a few abstracts this next month.

I am also planning a few ICADs as I prepare to create art each day in June and July.  They won't be as good as some I have seen, but I will still make art every day.

I finally stayed home long enough to clean and plant the majority of my herb garden.  I had my helper, the face of our blog, helping me.   Squiggles has never been outside, and has no desire to go.  In fact, I was surprised Bleubeard actually wanted to venture out, because it's been well over a year since he had any interest in the outdoors.

I hope I finally have my garden built up enough that next year I can get rid of the pots and actually plant a real garden.   Sorry, all I have in both printers is black ink/toner.

Here is one final look at the left side

and the right.

Once again, I want to thank Seth for creating this collaborative.  And I want to thank each of you for visiting today.  I'm very grateful for your visit and your support of my art.

Wonderful page, so many lovely details, and love the sewing on the various elements. Glad. Bleubeard ventured out again. My Kitty never went further than patio or balcony, she must have had a lot of bad experiences outside and was happy to be in her protective zone. Have a nice day, take care of yourself, hugs, Valerie

I was surprised when you apologized for the black and white prints as I thought that was the aesthetic you were going for. Love to see some black and white. It works well.

So lovely Bluebeard ventured out into the garden, hope he doesn't do what my "Fluffy" did today.
He ventured outside the garden, obviously went into someone else's garden who might have thought he was lost as he doesn't wear a collar (he destroys them pretty quickly so I gave up) and picked him up and called the Ranger. I was surprised to not see him home or in the garden when I arrived from work and then we had the visit from the Ranger to notify us.
So he's in kennels tonight, and can only be picked up tomorrow morning! He might learn his lesson hopefully and not go away from the garden.

Great page. I love the brain with all the gears. How nice you had a helper in your garden. Ink's outside was the front porch or the sun room. If I went outside he would sit and watch. When he was very little, he bolted a few times through an open door. He'd only get to the bottom of the stairs and the vastness of outside was too much for him. Looking forward to seeing your ICADs. I participated one year.I loved the exercise of creating something, good or not so good. Finishing the challenge was very satisfying.

Oh look at that sweet baby. He looks like a kitten, Elizabeth:) I love the 'my little helper'. :)

I looked at my calendar and thought of you today.
Mine was practically empty and yours is always chock full:)

I really like this spread. the threads give it texture, and I love the images. Especially using photos in black and white. Very artistic. The gear head works perfect with you abstract quote! Maybe you haven't been 100% in the game, but I can't tell by this spread.happy last few hours of May. Hugs-Erika

Fabulous pages and super details, I was drawn to the one with your helper, it was good to see Bleubeard in the garden with you.
I look forward to see what you will be making in the coming days, you have set yourself a marathon task, but crafting does help us to forget what is happening around us.

I love your garden page in your journal and how you Apterized it! Good for you getting the garden in. I still have a few things to plant, now that I can lift stuff.

Thanks for stopping by the blog. I'm not familiar with the Heidelburg Project -- I'm going to check it out!

Love the cogs and wheels in the head, and of course your helper. How is the Squiggly one? xox

I am always amazed at how much you accomplish and I do so enjoy following you although might not always comment.

I hadn't realized your goal was to move from pots to in-ground plantings. That'll be interesting to watch as you make the transition. I generally fail at herbs. You inspire me!

I love the gears in the head too. I thought the layout was really nice and very personal. Good job. My cat won't let me go and play with my plants alone!
