Home, a place of understanding

Today I'm joining Moo-Mania and More's latest theme "Stripes" and Art Journal Journey's latest theme which is hosted by Susi who wants us to create collages where we aren't allowed to use faces, leaves, or wings.

Stripes abound in this home.

The quote is by Christian Morgenstern, but I didn't leave enough room to document it on the roof.  I can truthfully say this quote is true because I feel right at home with my fellow bloggers.

I'm going to join my understanding friends at Art Journal Journey and Moo-Mania and More who really "get" me.  And that feels like home to me!

This is also Day 18 of AEDM.

I love that you thought "stripes" from the background to the foreground! The morgenstern quote is one I like as well!
I feel at home here on your blog since you make us feel at home here Elizabeth!
THANKS a lot for joining Moo Mania & More as well as Art Journal Journey my friend!

Happy weekend ♥!

Lovely sentiment :) and a fab collage. It made me think at first of a lovely little home surrounded by high rise buildings but then I saw tree trunks instead.. think I prefer the idea of being surrounded by a nice forest :)
Have a lovely day and great weekend.

A super graphic design, Elizabeth, I love the little striped house and the dark stripes outside, one could speculate what they mean, but the house itself looks cosy and welcoming.

Its a wonderful page and I do love the quote you added.
My blogging friends are the family I can choose for myself and I do feel very 'at home' with you all. Your striped house looks fabulous as well.

i love your stripe house. and yes, i think we bloggers understand each other in a way that our families and other friends may not. so i love this extra for that sentiment. xo

Love how you incorporated the different stripes, and the quote is a good reminder. So often "home" is where you fit in instead of who you're related to.

Love the house and the great quote Elizabeth. It is so true. I like the stripe effect a lot-all kinds of stripes. Hope all is well. I've got to find some energy to write a post, cleaning up leaves is such hard work. :) Enjoy your weekend. Hugs-Erika

I love your striped house, Elizabeth! That house-shape is just something that always resonates with me.

I'm way behind visiting and thanking you for your comments on the Marmelade Gypsy. I hope you'll share some photos of the cards you are making this year! I would love to see them!
