Leaves, trees, and a bear! Oh my

I'm once again joining Gill of Gibby Frogett Craftations who is hosting Art Journal Journey this month.

Gill's theme is Nature's Wonders.

I'm fascinated by leaves.  They begin life as buds in spring, then turn into green beauties in summer.  In autumn, leaves often put on a show for us as they sport their beauty across the countryside.   Nature's wonders at their finest.

Trees begin from a single seed.  They may take only a few years to reach maturity, or they could take decades, depending on their species.   Once their life cycle has been reached, they die, only to fertilize the ground on which they once stood.  I find these true wonders of nature.

Look at this adorable cuddly  bear.   Don't you just want to take something that looks that adorable home with you?  Of course, we know looks are often deceiving in nature, because this adorable cuddly bear will turn on you in a heartbeat if it feels threatened or provoked.

Materials include a portion of a calendar page I actually pulled out of the recycle box, fabric leaves, and an image of a bear.

Since the calendar background was recycled, I'm also linking to
Try it on Tuesday whose theme for the next day or so is scraps and leftovers.

Thanks for joining me today with this mixed media entry I created in my Coll-AH-ge Two altered book.

Your page today is beautiful. Autumn is always my very fave season, and I love watching the leaves change and fall. Trees are so important for our environment, and give us so much, and people just chop them down, use them and burn them, so sad. Thanks for lining our great page to AJJ and TIOT again. Have a lovely Sunday! I need to do some dreaded housew**k as I have visitors coming tomorrow!Hugs, Valerie

I LOVE this page. Beautiful leaves and yes they are truly amazing. To think of all our oxygen coming from those leaves. And I love the bear addition. He looks happy just playing in the water. Bears are very cute. Did I mentioned a black bear ran across the road in front of our car a couple of weeks ago? It was exciting to see. We only have black bears but still. Amazing such a big animal can life so close but you only see them now and again. But they do leave their signs if you are looking for them. Hope you have a cool rest of your weekend. The hubby and I are in NY state and it is so hot. Not much cooler at home. Hugs erika

Really super how you pulled this all together to make a really lovely collage E!
The bear fits perfectly and the leaves give nice interest and texture to that stunning autumn scene.
L♥ve it!
Trees and leaves fascinate me too again and again and again in each season.
We are lucky to live in such a wonderful world.
Happy Sunday dear friend

Is that Canada? It could be! Believe me when I say I know enough not to mess with a bear. I'm not in bear country, but I visit friends who are, and we are always on the lookout for them or signs of them to make sure we stay clear. Having said that, I love your page! The autumn leaves are so pretty and that bear fits right in as he''all be wanting a feast of fish before he hibernates. Thanks for dropping in on my cards and your lovely comments. I'm travelling the next week so who knows how much I'll get done, but I am resolved to get at least to 100 (not counting bonus cards).

Even though the bear looks quite content, I think I'll stick to the ones who live with me and are happy to sit on a chair or in the baskets. Its a fantastic page and thank you for sharing it with us over at TioT'a as well.

Yes, leaves are amazing from the first tight buds to the autumn colours. I've never really understood how a small acorn knows how to turn into a huge oak tree. Your collage page is so beautiful with the trees, the water and the sleepy bear.

Love the page, it's all of Fall's glory, but you can keep the sleepy grizzly. I would not want to meet one of those guys. xox
