Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt, part 2

It's been a busy, and quite unproductive month.  I've not found many of the things on my Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt list, hosted by Maria "Rinda" Ontivero, that I need.  But I wanted to be ready for the monthly link-up party that I was late for last month, so here are the only things I have found this month.

3.  A skeleton, bone, or X-ray.  Lame I know, but I bring it out every Halloween, so of course, I know exactly where it is.

7. A family gathering.  I spent two days trying to get my two cats to sit together, and finally gave up.  Now I probably could have gone to the park and found a family gathering, but I thought this would be as good as any.  I have no living relatives, so these friends truly are my only family!  And this is my idea of a family gathering.

8. Art journal page created by me.   Mixed media art I created in my Coll-AH-ge Two altered book (sorry this is not an art journal) that also counts for
Alternative 1. A lighthouse.  That's the closest I'm going to get to a lighthouse in this landlocked US state.

12. A window.  I planned to find a stained glass window at a church, but this one appeared on the way to the church, so I chose it instead.

20. Someone laughing.  While my friend Sally and I were getting our hair cut, her hairdresser was cutting everyone up with his jokes and fun manner.

When I took his photo (with his permission), I think I embarrassed him.

Alt 2. A baby (human or animal).  When I saw this family of snow geese, I was on a busy street.

In order to get a photo, I had to drive about a block away.  I was surprised my camera was able to get these in focus.

Not the sharpest photos in the deck, but I was glad they turned out as well as they did considering how far away I was when I got them in view.

I hope to finish by the time Rinda has her next linky party.  Somehow I doubt I'll ever find twins, though.  Thanks for joining me  for this latest edition of the Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt.  You can find Part 1 here.

Great photos, looks like you had fun putting them together. Love the page with the lighthouse. Your are right about friends being family - friends are for me the family of my heart. Have a great day Sweetie! Hugs, Valerie

Your choices for each subject are marvellous, what an interesting challenge. Obviously I am disappointed that Bleubeard and Squiggles declined to pose for a family photograph, but I suppose they had other things to do.
Love that fabulous arched window, your hairdresser laughing, and, of course, the baby snow geese.

I love your altered book pages, the nautical theme is wonderful! I live near the sea so it really speaks to me. Fantastic photo montage, so many great memories! Thanks for sharing. J :-)

Some great shots there Elizabeth. Scrummy hairdresser! Love your book page of the lighthouses and know what you mean about family. I have quite a few living relatives but rarely see anyone other than my husband and son. I keep in touch with my Mum over the phone but that is about it. I used to "adopt" families of friends when I was a child as ours never seemed to gel, it can be difficult seeing all the photos of other people's large family gatherings. Just added a couple of other photos, which I forgot, to my latest blog post awaiting the link up too. Thanks for visiting me. BJ

Each of your photos has a story to tell and I enjoyed each one.
That is a VERY good skeleton and some precious family gatherings!
Super lighthouse pages.
I feel like the line between altered books and art journals has become blurred with time.
That handsome hair dresser surely helps everyone relax by smiling.
Fun that the RELAX sign is in the background.
Looks like he has quite a colorful tattoo.
Your last photo of the geese really shines E!
Great colors. That looks like a good sized family of little ones.
