Butterflies and Dragonflies in my garden

I had hoped to spend more time creating art for Art Journal Journey this month, but time and circumstances have not been on my side.  However, I had to create one last post for the incredibly gracious host of Art Journal JourneyYvonne, who we know from her blog Meggy's Way.    She has been charming and has done more than her share of hosting this month.  Her theme is "In my garden there is" and she's given us lots of great examples.

So let's get to my final July "In my garden there is (are)" entry.

Butterflies and Dragonflies

grace my garden.
Silk flowers with colored droplets on ink pen stems

sit among the butterflies and dragonflies that are part of the decorated page.
The yellow and orange flowers I tried to add stamped words to, sit on the other page.  All are held in place with E-6000.

This page was created in my Coll-AH-ge Two altered book.

Thanks again go to Yvonne for her hosting presence at Art Journal Journey this month and thanks to each visitor.  Your support of my art means the world to me.

Butterflies and dragonflies oh my!
Your background is so delicate and your pretty flowers make me want to reach into the screen to pick them.... oops who said that! ;-)
I was thinking today what a big part of my life AJJ is and I am so grateful to everyone. Susi and Valerie and Yvonne this month had a theme that struck a special cord with me.
Some times life gets in the way.
Glad you got to play E!
Happy beginning of the weekend oxo

That is a really fun page. The use of the fabric flowers with the drawn stems gives a great look as well as texture.

Love this fresh page Elizabeth. Those flowers look like some in the meadows here in Iceland. And they are very pretty. I hope it has cooled down in Kansas. Haven't seen much for weather since I am away. But the last 2 days I have been bundled in layers it is cold and feels like October. 😀 Hope is a good weekend. Hugs erika

I love it when I see butterflies and dragonflies on my patio, and with your art you can see them even when it's dark outside. What a wonderful way to keep those lovely outdoor scenes alive in your mind :)
