It's Easter and what could be more appropriate than a lovely tulip to place on the Easter table. Today I'm sharing a mixed media collage I call Springtime Tulip. It is meant for Moo-Mania and More's Spring theme as well as Try it on Tuesday's Nature theme, where I am the Guest Designer this fortnight.
The inspiration behind this piece was a lovely tulip I found in a book on flowers. I layered it over a sheet of white printer/copier paper that I ran my gold leafing pen around.
I glued a piece of vintage sheet music to a book page, then painted both using orange/brown paint that I mixed myself. Then I glued the tulip assembly to the top of that.
I hope you will join me at Moo-Mania and More and Try it on Tuesday. You have nearly two weeks at Moo-Mania and more, but I encourage you to check out all the wonderful art already offered there.
There are many incredible entries at Try it on Tuesday, but time is running out on the Nature Inspired theme, so please make
sure you visit or join in the fun before Tuesday rolls
around. And remember, if your art is chosen by the DT, you could end up being a Guest Designer like I have been these past two weeks. Thanks, too, for your visit today and Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it..
