Hot Glue art update

A few weeks ago (or so it seems) I showed how I made a few hot glue art pieces to use as stencils.  You may want to review the first time I tried to make hot glue art and failed.

As many of you saw the first time I tried to make hot glue stencils, the glue gun I used wasn't adequate for the job.  This one is, though.  It was the first glue gun I ever purchased, and it's still going strong.  I hate to admit it, but I bought this in the late 1980s when I was making silk flower arrangements.

I suspect I will need more practice creating circles,

but I did like the flower I created.   Those little strings can be cut easily with scissors, too.  I can't wait to put these to the test.

Thanks so much for looking, because your visits keep me going.

They came out pretty cool looking! I like the more natural curves and lines that you have produced, will be looking out to see what you do with them!

I still haven't got a glue gun in my arsenal, but if I did stencils is one of the first thing I would try!
I just came to tell you, re my landscape card, that actually the stamping is not that difficult. Yes I had to do a test first to decide on the positioning but otherwise the work is all done by the stamp design!

I can't wait to see what you end of making with these. I've never tried hot glue gun stencils but I kind of want to try now. I still have my old 1980's glue gun too-I bought it for making pine cone wreaths. Oh those were the good old days before this crafty became an addiction. But I like this addiction-it is so much fun! happy caucus weekend!

I love your flower. I think the other ones would make beautiful flowers too. I think it's great you still have your hot glue gun from the 1980's. I would have loved to have some of my Mom's tools from her days making silk flower arrangements too. She even said she wished she saved all that for me. Vintage tools are the best. To not sound like I am calling vintage old I was a teenager in the 80's. :) When I go thrifting I still look for tools from kitchen to crafting that were made in the 80's. They were built to last and didn't break. I can't wait to see more of your hot glue creations. The only other thing that would make them perfect if Squiggles does a mouse design. :) I am still laughing about his mouse and the water bowl. I have one of those little culprits too who put things in my dog's bowl.
