T Stands For LeMonde

I suspect I should have picked a shorter T post because it is going to compete with Second on the 2nd.  Maybe some of you will even use a T post for your second look back.  If so, please feel free to enter it in both link up parties.

I was actually planning a different post, but Saturday was such a gorgeous day, Sally and I decided to get out of our respective houses and have lunch.  But first, we stopped by Sam's for cat litter and coffee, two real genuine necessities at my house.

Of course, Sally bought baked goods and took time to walk most of the aisles.

Then it was off to LeMonde, where their specialty was Mediterranean fare.  She apparently hadn't gotten enough Med food when we went to Legends (shown last week on T Tuesday).

I was surprised she showed such patience.  I had to crop the photo because the truck that I thought was gone by the time I took the photo, decided to stop in the drive for no apparent reason.

LeMonde always has these delicious sweet biscuits that you get with each meal.  You only get one though, because they are on the menu and cost $1.00 (USD) each after the first "free" one.  Note we are drinking water, although by this time, I've asked for lemon with mine.

Since it was Saturday afternoon, the lunch crowd that normally swarm in from the surrounding  businesses wasn't too thick.  It gave me time to take photos of the art on the walls.  These were beautiful examples of mixed media, with the metal flowers and the stamped and painted backgrounds.

This one really stole my heart, and I thought of Valerie and her love of birds when I took this photo.  A lovely piece depicting winter, too.

More metal, this time in the form of leaves.

I kept asking myself what they used to get all those beautiful colors.  It didn't look like enamel, so I have no idea.

By this time, my lemon had arrived and Sally was working her way through her biscuit.

We both ordered the assorted veggie plate, which included artichoke hearts, a pickle, hummus, tabouli, pita, a salad, olives, feta cheese, and a rice filled cabbage roll.  I love it!

Now it's your turn to show what drink related post you have for us this week.  It can be photos, a place you visited, an empty cup or mug, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below, then Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that your photos may be taken at any time, and they don't even have to be taken this year!

Don't forget your Second on the 2nd may be a T post, or any post from the past.

Glad to see you both were able to get "out" and enjoy some sun shine.
Your lunch looks good.....really good!

The art is fantastic, loved every piece. Thanks for sharing.

I did do a double post, but will take your suggestion and try to remember to re-link it again tomorrow.

I also did a double post...I'll link up with both linky's. Love the art work you captured while out. Is that the price of gas currently where you are??
I think we are at ~$1.69/gal here. I never thought I'd see it below $2/gal again. Adds to our pocketbook currently but not good for the economy as a whole.
Happy T day!!

Looks like a great place for a meal, and love the art, and that bird art is really inspiring, must think about making something like that. Have a happy T day, I will link again later to the 2nd on the 2nd post. BTW, the bird on my blog is a starling, they are lovely birds! Hugs, Valerie

I love the decor of LeMonde. The food looks so good. Poor Sally still in that arm sling. I bet she will be so happy to finally be rid of it. Thanks for sharing your outing. You always give me good ideas for place to eat. I look for similar places in my town. It helps my DH & I get out of our diner rut. I got rid of Google Plus so my posting hopefully will still be under my name.

Take advantage of the good weather I say. I'm like Sally I need to eat something a lot more than once if it's nice. That decor is beautiful, someone there has crafty tastes

What a great Saturday outing. The weather looks ok too. The restaurant looks fab. I love that art on the wall too. Especially the leaves. And the food.... yummy! Of course I love Mediterranean food as I live there!
I read your other post about posting an old post. I'll see if I can find one and then figure out how to link to that particular post and not my general blog. If I copy and paste the address in the address bar, it comes up as my general blog address.... do I have to go into Blogger? Has anyone got any suggestions?
Have a lovely Tuesday,
Blessings,
Lisca

Lots of interesting art in that restaurant and your plate looks yummy. That's the kind of food I like...little bits of this and that. I really like the painting of the tree and birds done over four canvases. That's giving me ideas!!
