Art Journal Journey meets Moo-Mania and More

Everything here is a "scrap," except the ink pen and stencil.  That means it qualifies for Moo-Mania and More's Use Your Scraps challenge this fortnight.  Yes, I LOVE writing that word, because it has such a magical ring to it and is so much easier to write than "every two weeks," which we Americans usually use.

Of course, this is also meant for Art Journal Journey's Winter Wonderland, which was chosen and hosted by Chrissie this month.  Spectacular hosting, Chrissie.  I've so enjoyed your art, too!

No step out or detail shots for this one, but here are the scraps I used: a piece of failed gelli print on card stock for the background that I thought looked a bit like the cancellation lines on the postage stamps, five US postage stamps of various denominations depicting the winter season, words created on a small piece of leftover spritzed index card, with said words written through a stencil using a brown Zig pen.

Please join me at Art Journal Journey and Moo-Mania and More for more mixed media, collage, and altered art fun.  You'll be glad you visited, because there are fantastic entries at both places.

And because this will be my last Art Journal Journey entry for January, I have created a collage of the few pieces I made this month.  After I had this finished and saved, I noticed I had somehow flipped the "Signs of the season" 180 degrees and mirrored.  It's a good thing it is shown correctly above!

Thanks for taking time to visit.  I appreciate it.

I am totally in agreement- why don't we use that word fortnight here in the US? It even sounds wonderful, certainly better than every 2 weeks. And fun page today- I love the squiggles and the stamps and even the purple for the cold winter. And since I never got back to the computer yesterday I want to add I love your silhouettes them that post too! Hope your weekend is starting off on a good foot and maybe you have a little warmer weather and are not in line for the groundhog storm I saw foretasted on the weather channel- I seemed to cover a huge swath of the Midwest and not sure if it jogged down into Kansas or not. I tell you this past week was too busy and I really think it turned half my brain into mush...oh well, weekend to reboot! Enough babbling from me! Hugs!

You must have more hours in your day than I do! You create so many fun pages. I like the swirly lines in the background and all the stamps. And your collage of pieces is great. It's fun to see all of them together.

I used some postage stamps in my last AJJ collage too :-)
You had me blinking my eyes at your turned inside out collage at the bottom of your mosaic LOL!
So nice to see all of your creativity together like that.
Happy weekend to you.

p.s. whenever my monoprint pages turn out not quite like I'd hoped I just stencil on top of them or do another monoprint on top...that said your background here looks great.

Hope you don't get too much of a sign of the season this week. But it was bound to come sooner or later. xox
