WOYWW 340: the one where she has mail

I'm finally able to join Julia at Stamping Ground for the latest edition of WOYWW.  I had intended to play last week, then realized I was hosting Second on the 2nd, which interfered time-wise with WOYWW.

I even had taken photos of my desk, which held a special surprise,

as well as this little rocker that sits on top of my microwave.

In the envelope were beautiful tags from the October crop.  Some might remember I sent tags to Julia to distribute to the people attending the crop.

Even though I hadn't expected anything in return, here are the lovely tags I got from some truly wonderful WOYWW deskers.

Then lo and behold, tis the season, isn't it?  Seems this Royal mail came from our Queen herself.

I'm always in awe of Julia's stamping and embossing abilities.  I may have a better camera, but it doesn't begin to show the beauty of this card.

Many know I decorate my home with Christmas trees each year, and this candle fulfills both my love of trees at Christmas and my continuing love of rocking horses.

And just so you see what WOYWWendy and I are working on, we've been dyeing lace and fabric, although it looks more like a commercial for every type of adhesive available!  Sorry this is so long, but you can blame Julia for the length of this one!

If coming from Julia's, please leave your number so I can reciprocate.  It may be late tomorrow (Wednesday in my world) before I get back to you, because I'm heading out and about for printer ink and a few other staples, standing in line at the Post Office, and taking my friend Sally to lunch.  Thanks for visiting, and remembering who I am (as IF you could forget the mixed media wanna-be who collects rocking horses).

It is indeed a beautiful card. I love that there is even a rocking horse on your Christmas candle. I thought of you the other day (on a round trip with my boy) when we passed the hand built rocking horse place on our journey. Enjoy lunch with your friend.

Swaps are fun aren't they? You received some nice goodies. Your desk looks like it belongs to a busy artist. Maybe that is because it does. LOL!

Love your happy mail! Your workspace looks so neat - I had intended joining in today but we got stuck in a massive jam (Manchester seems to be in permanent gridlock these days - so many roadworks (Er, to improve the road systems!!)We didn't get back home until after our usual mealtime - so it was all systems go to get ourselves something to eat!! I think we spent a little longer with son and GKs and then we had to pick up food supplies as we hadn't intended being here!! It took us an hour and a half to travel 5 miles!! Hope you enjoyed your lunch! Chrisx
