More decorated book covers

Today was one of those days I just wanted to stay in bed with the covers pulled over my head, snuggling up close to my two four-legged boys.  I needed a day of rest, but with Art Every Day Month, that couldn't happen.

Way back on Day 1 of Art Every Day Month, or AEDM, I created this layered book cover.

I had hoped to add some German scrap to the top and bottom, then decided it didn't fit.  Although they are a bit plain,

at least now you can see how I used the backgrounds I made on Day 6 of AEDM.  These are going to some friends who live out of state and have never met Bleubeard.  Although I always try to make art by Bleubeard and Elizabeth, today Bleubeard was not included.  I added a foam tree as well as my "Created by" label I painted, then cut using ProvoCraft decorative scissors.

This is Day 19 of Art Every Day Month or AEDM, and I finished making three book covers and added the backs to all four.

Thanks everyone for your continued support of my art each day this month.  It is always appreciated more than you will ever know.  Now I'm heading to bed to get rid of this cough and achy feeling.

Your altered book covers are coming along nicely, but I think you need to stay in bed for the rest of the day. Sorry you are feeling under the weather, and hope you are soon feeling better, take care of yourself. Hugs, Valerie

This is precisely why I won't and can't commit to a daily art pledge. Great covers though. . snuggle up well!

I know. I could have stayed in bed forever yesterday too. It was SO cold and work has been a bit of a challenge lately, so I kept hitting the snooze button about 5 times. I don't think your pieces are so plain. Sometimes a little goes a long way! Hugs.

I like how you do multiples and the book covers look great. Take care of yourself- I had that respiratory thing and it drags on. Get some rest and vitamin C!

Hello Elizabeth, I'm happy to be catching up with your posts today. SO HAPPY you've kept going with the AEDM, so good friend! Sorry your not feeling well, hope you feel better soon. All this art takes energy and time too, don't over do it.

I enjoyed all your posts here, I was happy to see your post on Paris, thought of you that day and knew you'd do something special and a journal page for it. You did a good job on it and the word you shared about it. Thank you!!
We had gorgeous weather and shorts on last week too, so crazy isn't it. What a pretty fall walk you shared with us, never gets old for me.
Your art every day is wonderful and just right for YOU, so good at book covers and more fun ideas for everything. Thank you for sharing your heart and your pretty art with us. I don't know hoe you always have ideas but hope you never run out of them or sharing them.

I just posted on my scrap retreat, had so much fun and got a lot done too. My plans are to be here for T Time next week, yay! These last two weeks were a blur of retreats and babysitting and kid stuff. Should be more quieter now that I'm home.
Take care and keep up the good work! HUGS!

Oh Elizabeth! I feel so guilty that you feel poorly! I did love the look around your neighbourhood but now I know you are suffering for it I wish I could pop round and make hot drinks for you!!(mind you - if you had taken a sweater……!!!!) I admire the fact that you are not just producing Art Every Day but that it is such brilliant Artt! I love these colours - a real Vintage feel to them! Hoping you feel much better, pretty darn quick!! Hugs, Chrisxx

These look great. I'm so intrigued by what you are doing, as your art form is so different from mine. Sounds like some self-care is in order for you now. Take care, and I hope you feel better soon.

The art on the first photo - I very much like this, it's not plain at all, it's beautifully balanced and the colours you've combined are just right.
Hope you are feeling much better now.
