Journal 52, Week 29: Positive Change

For Week 29, Chelle, our host at Journal 52 chose positive change.  I'm not sure this was a very good prompt for me, because I always, always try to think positive, and changing to being even more positive is like asking me to be more beautiful.  Neither of these is going to happen.

However, I tried to make the best of this one.

As many of my regular readers read earlier in the week, my card reader is no longer reading my files.  So anytime I can scan my entry, I'll more than likely do so.

I began color blocking my used file folder using three vintage colored dabbers.  These are NOT bingo dabbers, but the expensive kind found in stores that sell scrapbook and mixed media supplies.  The vintage look was necessary because all the words I found were in a vintage-y book.

Here is my idea about positive thoughts and positive change.

It's ironic how the same color green pen looks so different against the file folder background than it does against the pale beige book page.

Art makes ME happy, and that's really positive.

I agree about teaching others.  It has had a positive influence on my life.  Teaching, which I try to do on my blog, has influenced my art and my artistic skills.  And believe me, NO ONE ever learns as much as I do when I'm teaching!

Change is good, and being locked into a specific way of doing things is never the ONLY way of doing it.   That's why I try to stay open to options.

Week 29 was spotlighted nicely this week.

I rotated this so you could see the words I highlighted and those I created when I couldn't find the exact words I wanted.

Now that you've seen the details, here is one final overall view.

This is one of those weeks the prompt didn't really interest me, but I tried hard to make something positive from it.  Thanks so much for looking and thanks, too, for your generous comments and visits.  They are the positive changes I've enjoyed thanks to YOU!!

Besides sharing and teaching your art techniques, you teach (maybe without meaning to) your wonderful positive attitude. I really like how this piece came together!
