I really like my book of quotes and I actually found the quote before the painting for Day 41.
Ribbon and a piece from a flower were sewn to the IC on Day 42. Then I stamped. I had NO idea the ribbon would make the stamp nearly transparent. Live and learn. That was a good lesson for me, since I'm not much of a stamper.
Back to sewing, which is my favorite way not to use glue, I added the rick rack to the handmade mists I sprayed on the background. I cut a heart to match the heart on the image and sewed the image. I then added the heart over which I added a small flower that I attached both with by making a "french knot" on my sewing machine.
For Day 44, handmade spray mists were laid down on my IC, over which I stapled "get it done." I t looked a bit plain, so I added three tea cups I stamped directly on the card.
For this one staple collage, I used a few pieces left over from when I purged. I fussy cut the umbrella and added it to the mix.
On Thursday, Day 46, I divided my time between purging two closets and visiting people on the computer. This was all I had time to make. Other than the IC, all these pieces would have headed to the trash had I not saved them and added them to the card.
I got a bit carried away with my Day 47 entry when I painted the IC, then added the image and the two postage stamps. I hadn't let the paint completely dry, so the images stuck to the paint before I could sew them. However, I still sewed around everything after the paint was dry.
I know most of my regular readers and followers know by now, but I'll
reiterate that I'm not using prompts from Daisy Yellow this year. Since there's no way to link these ICADs, and the fact I'm strictly a blogger and not
on any other social media site, the only place you will see these ICADs is here on my blog. Instead of the prompts, I'm using
sewing, staples, stamps, and sprays (paints, mists, etc) on scraps. No
glue is allowed on these ICADs.I can't say this enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kind words and visits. They mean the world to me.

Because of your encouragement and that of others I'm testing the waters in the world of ATCs. Fun! So I'm thinking you could do ATCs instead of ICADS and link them here lol. Notice how my personal interest just high-jacked this comment ;)
On the actual subject, I'm just now realizing how hard it would be to do collage work without any kind of glue. I would think it would make composition more challenging.
I love every single one of these cards Elizabeth but I do admit that day 42 is my favourite. The transparent hearts look deliberate, and beautifully so. It's always a pleasure to visit and see what you have created {{Hugs}}

I am so glad that I have now the bigger room for my studio and I will definitley put a little desk for my sewing machine in it .. I love sewing on my projects but am always to lazy to bring out the machine....

I like this week's ICADs--all so original! I like that you are going your own way theme-wise, and I see that you are holding to your "no glue" rule. I know what you mean about too many things at once. That is why I only did SOC.
Another fine array of creativity here E and all in keeping with you no glue challenge.
You have me intrigued making a french knot with your sewing machine...that is my favorite embroidery stitch. I had never imagined a machine could make one.
