As promised, here are the remainder of ICADs for the first week in June. From now on, there will be a complete week's worth. Remember, I am not using prompts this year, but going by the five "S"s: scraps, stamps, staples, sewing, and spray mists. Here is what I've made to bring this week to a close:
I learned this technique last year. You gather as many pieces as you choose to fit on your IC, then position them such that they can be stapled together using a single staple. I fussy cut the dog and bone. I can see he stayed! 
I've always had trouble with masks. They are NOT intuitive to me, so I'm working on that. I first stamped the elephant, then stamped it again to create a mask, which I cut out and glued (using repositionable glue) over the top of the stamped image. Next I stamped the baby that I think is a donkey. The giraffe is off to one side. I'm quite sure you'll see more of this technique again as I learn to use a mask better in the future.
I punched the circle, then stamped it using a small collage stamp that has a king on it. Unfortunately, you can't really make it out too well. 
I had a small piece of security envelope left over from yesterday's circle, so I sprayed it with my handmade shimmering mists and added a butterfly I found in my stash. Every thing was sewed to the IC. You can barely see Bleubeard's name because the butterfly wing covers it.One of the really good outcomes from this was I figured out why the position of the needle was off. I thought it was the tension, but it was only the fact I hadn't placed the needle far enough into the holder. At first, I considered taking the machine in for maintenance, but decided to try to correct the problem first, if possible. When I decided to start over, the first thing I checked was the needle. I was soon doing a happy dance and breathing a HUGE sigh of relief.

I have really enjoyed seeing your ICADs Elizabeth. I too only recently learnt about one staple collage and found it is fun to do. I love those animal stamps you have, the details on them are really good I think. And I am very impressed with your masking. A technique I tend to fail on manys a time.
I also like your sewing ones and am really happy for you that your machine problem, turned out not be a problem at all. Happy Dancing, most acceptable :D
Your memorial day photos of your rose are lovely. They look like big blooms. Do they have a nice perfume Elizabeth?

Thanks so much for your comments on my blog posts, I'm glad you like the ICADs we've been doing. I really enjoyed doing the words for the house, and I am delighted that you like my post box index card, I wasn't sure what I was going to do, so was pleased with how it turned out too. And finally, Wee Man was very happy that you said favourite in capital letters, in reference to his use of bingo dabbers. It seems to amuse him that people in America have some of the same things as we have in our kitchen, haha, bless him. And he is impressed that you are doing ICADs too. He likes your dog one because it's a similar colour to Toby Poby.

love your sewing... and so good you could fix the needle yourself. i always feel so uncertain when something with the sewing machine doesn´t work fine, i don´t have the Patience to make myself deeper familiar with that machine... even the Tension Thing can drive me nuts. i would never be a good seemstress. but sewing on paper is so fun!!
and i like your "zoo" Card with the masking - so beautiful stamps! and reminds me again of my impatience: i fussy-cut the most difficult masks in my beginning of stamping, but have given up along the time. but it is a really cool way to Show "3d" and you did this very well.
Well you are off to a great start and the "no glue" rule you set for yourself has certainly not hindered your style!
