Journal 52, Week17: Treasure

Chelle at Journal 52 had a guest host for Week 17 who worked in a smash book showing her treasures.  Chelle said we could also go from trash to treasure, so I may have done a bit of that, too.

My original thought on this challenge turned out nothing like I originally started.  I got to thinking about how many of us who like to turn trash into collage fodder, often have a huge supply of that fodder.  So today I pay

Homage to the Treasure Hoarder.

A few detail shots

showing some of the hoarded treasure

along with a few favorites like mathematics (calculus) book pages, sheet music, and

a vintage image from a 1962 Family Circle magazine.

One final overall look at Homage to the Treasure Hoarder.

Thanks for looking and thanks for being so supportive of my art.

oh Yes
so many treasures so little time!
Great homage to the treasure collector in all of us (I am avoiding the 'hoarder' word ;-) )
Hope you're having a lovely spring weekend E! It's on the chilly side here but that is helping the beautiful blossoms stay put longer so we are enjoying that!

...and hunting through the hoards looking for just that special image or item for a collage is always fun, too! Great concept and page!

Hope you are far away from those tornadoes!

Awww, those teddy bears are simply too cute Elizabeth!! I'm a dreadful hoarder, but I'm trying to get better by using my stash and not buying more. Wishing you a very good week ahead :o))

Fun collage. I just went through my pile. I was attempting to organize bits and pieces so I could find them (failed) and tossing some things I don't think I will ever use (some progress).

LOVE IT!!! how appropriate for earth month.

I was just going to start my page this morning, even printed off a picture I want to use. I haven't posted J52 in weeks, but have been keeping up.

As you can see, the PC is back and all sparkly clean, but DH uses this one, and there is no control over where he goes on it ( not bad places....just likes to shop on line)

So for my actual posts I am going to use my lap top (he isn't allowed on that...LOL). When it was checked it had NO malware, but still had it cleaned up and new virus put on it.

See you later for T-day

Lovely homage. I was just thinking of all the treasures sitting in the barn I need to sort through and send along to pals and the charitable thrifts close by. A long slow summer project. xox

I really must follow your example and use some of my saved magazine images! This is fabulous! Hugs, Chrisx

Nicely done!
I feel as if I'm on the tipping point of collection vs hoard for a few things. I keep having people give me unwanted craft supplies and I really have a hard time turning them down!
