In the flower bed

I'm not sure this qualifies as a recycling, repurposing, or reusing post, but it qualifies as a rebirth and renewal post.  I also hate to admit it, it's all I have for today, because I entertained company on Easter.

I worked a bit in my flower bed Saturday.  I planted three new hyacinths I purchased last week, and decided to take a photo of them.  Sadly, it was the only photo of them I got.

I got a bit distracted by the tulips

and went around discovering where they were.

It's always fun to discover them again each year.

This one really caught me by surprise, because I had NO idea I had planted it here.  I'm quite certain it's the first time it's bloomed.  As an aside, Chris asked me about these green leaves and I explained they are surprise lilies, also called naked ladies, because the leaves die back in a week or two, then late in summer, a single stalk with no leaves shoots out of the ground and produces either a single or gorgeous double lily.  Mine are all pink.

I went inside to read a few blogs, and when I went out to clean the dirty table on my front porch and check my mail, look what had happened. The buds that were barely showing early in the day were now in full bloom.

The same occurred in the middle of the yard, too.  And I had a visitor.

Two, in fact.  What a beautiful day for viewing rebirth in the flower bed.

Today is Day 6 of 22 and I planted and observed how the flower bed seemed to bloom right before my eyes.  What a lovely day to observe this renewal.

Thank you for joining me in the flower bed today.  I enjoyed our visit and always appreciate when you stop by.  I'll be back at 4 pm (CDT) with my T post.  It will count as my Tuesday (Day 7) post.

Hello Elizabeth, I am happy you shared your yard/blooms/spring and green with us. These are some of my favorite posts of yours so no worries.
I'm a little jealous your yard is so green and has flowers blooming so well already. We've had some frost and cold days again. BUT, we do have a few little blooms popping up. I don't know how it happened because there was snow there for some time and not much sun but they are there, YAY! Our grass is still brown and not spring, we might have to plant grass seed too. We can't wait for spring/summer to get here but we forget the work it needs too.
Hope your Easter went well, ours was wonderful. The kids are on break now so I will hopefully join you for T Time next Tuesday.
Have a great week.

I always love your gardening posts :) The spring flowers are so encouraging, aren't they, the way they start blooming while the weather still hasn't decided to leave winter behind for sure. Your tulip colors are beautiful!
