April, 2015 complete and May ready in my never ending calendar

Before I show my completed April calendar, I want to explain why I've been offline for so many days since my birthday.  You know something has to be wrong when I don't post every day, or at least every other day.

It all started when I visited my friends who live out of town.  As I was about to enjoy a wonderful birthday vacation my friends had planned for me, I got very, very sick.  I have no idea what the problem was, but I had a fever that lasted at least four days and spiked at 101.7 degrees F.  The fever was accompanied by chills, a sore throat, a headache that couldn't be cured with caffeine, and a loss of equilibrium.  Add to that, allergies that had me dripping from every orifice.

As much as I wanted to stay with my friends, they live off the grid, have no internet, and no phone.  Not the best place for a person who is sick and doesn't have a cell phone (yes, I'm one of three people left in the world who doesn't own a cell phone).  So, sick as I was, I headed home to recuperate.  Although my fever finally broke, my mind is not sharp and my equilibrium is still a bit off.  So even finishing this month's calendar in time to show it, became a challenge.

April was about recycling, NBA basketball play-offs, and birthdays.  As much as I would have liked to decorate this month better, by the time I had finished it, I didn't have much inspiration and even less energy.

I show even less imagination for May.  Speaking of imagination, right now, although I am no longer sick with fever, chills, etc., I am still weak and don't feel like doing much except sleeping and snuggling with one or both my boys.

I want to thank those of you who have not given up on me.  I'm NOT one to whine, so please don't think that's what this is.  I just wanted everyone to know why I had been offline so long.  I truly appreciate your continued comments and support of my art, even though I haven't done much of that since my birthday.

Sorry to hear you have been so ill, hopefully you are recuperating with furry helpers on hand! I think it must be a nasty virus as my Mum has been ill with fever and vertigo and I have seen others with similar symptoms on FB... get better soon, we will still be here!

Oh my dear Elizabeth! Do take care. I'm glad you came home to recuperate. Off grid is nice but not when you're feeling poorly. Hunker down and snuggle till you're feeling better. The Girls and I send warm hugs...lots of them!

So very sorry to hear just how sick your were, and it takes time to come back from the grips of these nasty viruses. So stay still, and cuddle with the guys....it's what you need!

Yes, we'll all still be here when you getting to feeling more like yourself.

I've been off line so much of late, it feels good to reach out and reconnect. Problem is, next to Christmas, this is the beginning of a very busy season, as BBQ competitions start this month. General life has a good grip on me so it will still be hit and miss for blogging. BUT I will be back to check on you and the guys........grin

I am so sorry your sick. I hope you get lots better soon. You need to rest a lot and don't worry about posting. So many of us love your blog so much we aren't going anywhere. I am in the only three people in the world who doesn't have a cell phone, kind of. I have one for emergencies since I don't want to pay for a landline. I have only used it five times in ten years.

If I had read this post on the day you posted, two things would have happened...I would have added my sincere understanding and good wishes that you feel better soon. After that bout, it sounds like you need some time to just rest.
And, secondly, I would have actually remembered to post my second look. I can't blame my forgetfulness or lack of art posts on an illness, just busy life taking important first place.
