Craft Barn Q & L Challenge 25: Faith and/or Harmony

Craft Barn's final challenge words of 2014 are Faith and/or Harmony.
I chose a quote for our final challenge entry using the word Harmony.  I began by collaging a few scraps onto my used file folder substrate.  Then I spritzed several of my handmade shimmering mists onto the page.  For texture, I added some tiny Mexican sage flowers.

To represent harmony, I cut two hearts from sheet music, then added a bit of pigment ink to them.

Next it was off to my office, where I printed the words of the quote

using the Stencil font.  I colored around the words using a gold pen.

In case you can't read the quote this fortnight, it is one by Mahatma Gandhi:
Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed.

   ~Mahatma Gandhi
And because I like to show a wrap-up of my entries when a challenge is complete,

here is a collage of Challenges 1 through 25.

I want to thank all who took time to visit this past year.  I believe I have made a few new friends and have truly enjoyed visiting each of you, even though I can't leave comments to Fiona or you gals on Facebook or Flickr.  Please be aware, though, I have always visited and appreciated your entries.  Thank you again for all the kind support you have given me this year, and I look forward to learning what the new challenge is on January 5, 2015.

EDIT: My friend Susi has convinced me to add this collage

to this month's Art Journal Journey.

Great quote, and a lovely entry. Nice to see all the previous ones too. I've started mine but had to go out shopping so playing catch up later.

This is just beautiful! What fun to see and appreciate all your entries together--it looks so colorful. I may just borrow that idea..unless mine turns out to look like a muddy blob I will post it on my blog.

Congrats on finishing the Q&L challenge. This is a great page, and I like the way you have taken the time to recap what you completed.
I'm thinking I might do this challenge if they continue next year. I did a few of them, more or less tested the water.....grin A lot like J52 and I like that.

Congrats on these wonderful cards! YOU DID GREAT!! So fun to see what you will do with each prompt.

I may not link up tomorrow for T Day but I am hoping to post. Just won't have time to make the rounds. Getting the last of my shopping and wrapping done before kids are home on break.
Hope you are doing well and enjoying the holiday season.
We also have mild temps here and no wind, YAY! Take care!

Loving all that is going on here Elizabeth, the more you look at this page the more you see. Particularly like the musical hearts. I also think your final collage of entries is so inspired, I've borrowed that idea, but have given you full credit!! ;D

I was so excited about the quote and lyric challenge but it only worked out that I got to play along a couple of times.
Your quote choice is very powerful and something to definitely aspire to!

Another challenge that you have done all year - I just couldn't keep up and didn't complete many before giving up - I felt that once I'd missed two I had no chance of catching up therefore losing the point of a year challenge! This one is fabulous - just love those bright colours….and what a lovely array of quotes you have! Chrisx
