Time to make a litte MOO

It's time to make a little moo.  Moo cards, that is.

Since this is recycle week, I've started with a used file folder.  This one is even a reject from my J52 and Craft Barn substrates, so it's the perfect substrate for MOOs.

BTW, this is the only recycled piece I used for this Moo-Mania and More entry.

I mixed Staz-On reinkers and 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and dripped each of the mixtures onto the used file folder, but you could use paint, pan pastels, or even gesso to cover the substrate.

You don't have to cover every inch of the substrate

because you are going to add stamps.  I started with Bleubeard's and my signature stamps,

then added others I thought might be the right size for the job.  Granted, for most of you, this will be the fun part.  For me, I always worry about my poor stamping abilities.

What you have just made is a masterboard.

While your ink, paint, whatever, is drying, create your message on your computer,

then print your page(s) out on paper that compliments your background.

Thankfully, the stamping doesn't have to be perfect, since you'll soon cut these to size.  You can see how small these MOOs are based on the size of my "Handmade by" stamp.

Assemble your message onto the MOO and cut any overhang.  I'm going to cut my message a bit smaller with the next ones, too.

How will I use these?
I want them for the back of my quiltlets.  That way, the stamping and credit will only require me to grab one of these finished MOOs and sew it to the quiltlet back.  Now I must get busy, because I've got a lot more MOOs to complete.

Thanks for looking.  I'm just tickled that MOO Mania and More has chosen recycling for this fortnight.

Fantastic idea! I've never made (or used) Moos before, but I can see by your post how versatile they can be.
