Day 10 of 30 paintings in 30 days

It's now day 10 of 30 paintings in 30 days.  That means we're one third of the way through this challenge.  I'm once again linking to Leslie Saeta at Slices of Life.

I'm calling this one "Life on Mars," and it is almost 8" X 10" (20,32 cm X 25,4 cm).  Does anyone remember the semi-sci-fi show by the same name that ran for a single year on one of the big 4 networks?  I was hooked on it, and was sad when it was cancelled.  When I started creating this piece, all I could think of was that show, Life on Mars.

Thanks for your continued support and wonderful comments.

Enjoying seeing your paintings, and that fabric book is just wonderful! I have one living in my head and it's getting closer to reality. Yours is an inspiration. Thanks for visiting my blog! Have been following yours for some time now.

Never saw the show but I like the way the colors blend on this piece.

Sorry, I don't remember that show. But I think your painting looks like a slice of magenta-colored stone...maybe marble...and I like that.

I would love a trip to Mars if this is what it's like! The only Life on Mars I know was a British series about 6 years ago. Chrisx
