Journal 52, week 28: Technology

At Journal 52, Chelle's prompt this week was Technology.  While Chelle went modern, I went old school.  While she focused on the internet and computers,

I focused on photography and the technology that results from it.  I also added a few stickers from VHS tapes, because I still use that technology.  Yep, I'm very old school.

A few detail shots

showing both new

and old technology

just goes to show

you can never have too much ephemera for these prompts.  And yes, this is week "No. 28," which means we are over the "hump" so to speak, and it's all downhill from here.

For this prompt, I used one of my cut file folders, old magazine images from the late 60s or early 70s, as well as images from 2005.  I also included two slide holders/mounts, a piece of cardboard from an old flash holder, and VHS stickers.

I hope you enjoyed my take on old school technology, because, unlike Chelle, I'm not on Facebook, Flickr, or G +.  But I always appreciate your visits and feedback.

I love the images you have used - I know I shouldn't, but I often long for the days of simpler technology! But then again..... He! He! Have great weekend, Chrisx

hi E & B
i have been away for a few weeks, traveling visiting family in texas - it was lovely.
now i'm back to visit you!
looks like you've been busy - i love what you've done with "Technology'.
Low-Tech is my favorite, except of course for the internet, and cell phones and digital cameras, and . . . . . well you know what i mean.

Ah yes, the days of black and white, when it was so simple to develop your own photos, but of course now, we just print them! Thanks for dropping by and leaving such compliments. I would say, as well that I am pretty impressed with all you can do, too.

This is so well done! What really is amazing is how fast technology has advanced. We still have a VCR and lots of tapes, but sadly the tapes have not withstood the test of time as well as the machine has.

Old tapes=more ephemera for me!

A fun page Elizabeth - back to the good old days when these were the latest and greatest. Technology changes so quickly. Where is the overhead projector? :) Gosh I can remember preparing those transparencies to do presentations in school, and how easy it was to fumble them - I'm glad the only thing I need transparencies for now is my artwork - give me PowerPoint any day! :)

What memories your page brings back.

I did a similar page for this challenge, I guess most will with the prompt being technology.

Makes me wonder what my GKs will experience in their lives.
