NBA weekend book nearly finished

I'm sure some of you remember the altered visual journal I started over the three day NBA All-Star weekend.  Since I'd already finished my J52 entry for this week, I decided to work on it.  Luckily, I've nearly finished it, and want to share the final pages before I sew the book together.

I wanted to show that I updated the final page I showed last time by adding the final score of the All-Star game.

Once again I looked to magazines to find suitable images for the final pages of my book.  I thought this image was perfect and I added a heart and a caption that read "College finally pay off," along with the words "Dunks make me smile."  The last is waste from my Dymo label maker.  Sometimes I think I save way too much minutia. This is page 11 in my book.

I kept flitting between topics in this book.  I was never sure if it was going to focus on love or basketball or maybe love of the game.  Regardless, page 12 is a very feminine addition.

I decided an extension was called for, so I chose a tag holder made from a security envelope, although I haven't dug my gears and cogs out to create the tag.  I'll do it one of these days, although I did grab the card I had in the other pocket I created in the center pages.  I'm calling this extension page 13 front.

On the left is page 13 middle, which completes the extension I tried to hold together using tape that didn't want to stick to either side.

I've truly switched gears on page 13, because, although I don't watch college basketball, I know it's time to prepare for the Final Four.  And please don't laugh.  I made those basketballs myself, which is a true testament to my inability to replicate even simple shapes.

For my final inside page, I was ready to quit, so I found an old negatives film strip that is much larger than 35mm.  I was intrigued by the different amounts of light allowed on these three blank negatives, which I affixed using some not-so-sticky corner stickers.

That's the end of my book, except for sewing it together and adding the book title to the cover.  Any suggestions on the book title would be greatly appreciated.

Oh man...cool book pages! Love the kid spinning the basketball. And what do you mean you can't replicate...those basketballs look great to me. I came back to look for the rocker. My apologies to Mr Bear. ;) Today the pic enlarged for me and I see the rocker, a very pretty one in its frame. Stay warm. We're chilly with heavy rain today. Hugs from all of us Girls

Wow, the first thing I thought was those basketballs looked great! Your love of basketball certainly shine through these pages.

Did you hear about the warm up? Supposed to hit near 50 degrees the beginning of next week!

You've been a busy, busy girl! And I love the basketballs you made yourself - don't think I'd be using them as an example of NOT being able to reproduce simple shapes!

I think your basketballs are awesome! I really like the texture created by using the security envie design! and...maybe "Hoop Love" for a title? such a unique book topic...I always felt like it was easier to understand and follow basketball than it is football, but I'm really not that big of a sports fan. hope we can still be friends! (grin)
