March complete and April ready to go in my never-ending calendar

I realize I'm posting my monthly calendar early this month, but I'm getting ready for my annual 22 days of recycling, repurposing, and reusing items to keep them out of the trash in order to save our planet. I'm sure Kate, our host for this monthly event, won't mind.

March was cold, there was snow, and although Spring has arrived on the calendar, it has not reached my part of the country.  For my decorations, I added two flowers, since there are none in my garden, and some St. Patrick's Day inspired ribbon.

I got a little carried away with the colors for April, partly because it's a month filled with many birthdays.  I also reverted to using a calendar to show the days.  I was having trouble with the bleed I was experiencing with this not-at-all-inexpensive journal I picked to represent the next two years.  The pages are just not strong enough to accept all the color mists and such I was trying to subject them to.

I hope you'll join me in April while I count down to Earth Day.  As always, I decorate my pages based on what has happened in my world during the month.  Thanks for stopping by and please visit Kate for links to others working on these calendars.

LOVE the April calendar, WOW the colors are so PRETTY!! I think it turned out great and can't wait for us to see those colors popping up out our windows. We got a few inches of snow last night, YUCK!!
We have a lot of birthdays in April too and hubby and mines anniversary is tomorrow to kick off the month, YAY!!
I do have a post up right now and will post again tomorrow and Tuesday this week, I need to start blogging more like I used too.
Looking forward to seeing your recycle projects!!
Happy Sunday!

I wish I could keep myself on task with calendars, but I always forget! I love to see yours every month. I wish I could join you with your recycling challenge - it would be right up my alley, but I am too bogged down with course work and I will be going into town in just over a week for two art quilt workshops at our Quilt Convention, so April is going to be one of those months for me.
I will, however be watching you and your creations eagerly!

Goodness me Elizabeth! I haven't even thought about mine yet! Love your April page - I had a journal with pages like that - it's still around somewhere but don't know what I will do with it! Chrisx

Well you definitely have Spring in mind with this new calendar, but like you, it has not quite arrived here either, still some cold days to come. xox
