Journal 52, week 13: How does my garden grow?

This week at Journal 52, Chelle's prompt was "How Does Your Garden Grow?"  Chelle told us we could create any garden we wanted, so I went with a vintage look, something I haven't done since this challenge began.

I already had the paper which was part of a set of matching scrapbook and card making supplies.  This spread was from the same set I used to make my friend Sally's birthday card.

I attempted to answer the question of "how my garden grows" using a copper leafing pen that did NOT show up on the scanner.  It reads "Love, Kindness, Hope, and Cheer."   There's also the number 13 which I drew around the rim of the flower pot.

I fussy cut and colored the garden gloves from a magazine, and used the numbers to designate the 13th prompt.  I wanted to get this finished before tomorrow, or this prompt would have looked a lot different if I'd had to use recycled materials, rather than all new ones.

Once again I'm sharing this on my blog only because I'm not a member of Facebook or Flickr, which are the only places you're allowed to post your entries.  Thanks for joining me for the second time today.

Sorry I have not visited much this past week, but I did enjoy catching up with your visit to Kathy's house. The suspense of her opening the box made me chuckle--I've gotten a few like that myself. Since I have no idea what you do with a Gelli plate, I will be interested to see what you create with it.

I think you are too hard on yourself--I loved the card you made Sally and I would not have noticed the twill fraying had you not mentioned it. The beautiful quote is what caught my eye. She looks very happy with her birthday cake!

I learned of earth hour when I heard from an out of town visitor that the lights would be turned off in Times Square. I was happy to see your suggestions--several of which I already do!

I'm loving all the blogging your doing, lots of goodies to see. What a pretty garden page this, I love what you wrote on it. This is softer and more Victorian and perfect for the theme.

I just posted my "HELLO APRIL" post and will post again tomorrow for T Time. Have a great day and hope it will be warm there like it will be here for the next two days.

Lovely soft and subtle colors...I am sure you are itching to start your garden outside, but guess we will have to wait a bit longer! this is a wonderful substitute in the meantime...and I think a garden with these attributes is what we ALL need!

Oh la la! I do like this page with the soft images and colors.

Of course I have not started mine...maybe between loads of laundry and cold medicine.
