Friday Smiles: the Heinz 57 edition

I'm calling this the Heinz 57 edition because it's the 57th Friday Smiles hosted by dear Annie of A Stitch in Time and this post has no clear direction, other than Bleubeard.

One of the things I thought I should show that made me smile this week is Bleubeard's new collar in honor of Valentine's Day.  When a friend stopped by, Bleubeard was not in the mood to have his picture taken with the new collar.  Not sure if it was because he was shy, embarrassed, or ashamed of how feminine the new collar looked.  In fact, I think he forced me to change it not long after I took this photo.  He reminded me he was not into all that pink stuff.  Personally, I like it, and plan to have him wear it on occasion.

Because I humiliated him, I had to make up for it,

after he asked me to create

this spread he picked out for me to make in my collage inspired altered book.

I hope Bleubeard (and his Heinz 57 antics) has put a smile on your face today.  Don't forget to visit Annie for links to more Friday Smiles as we finish out the weekend on a happy note.

Yes I'm smiling Elizabeth :-) Do tell him I think he looks really cool in his new collar and there is nothing wrong at all in showing the world your feminine side :-)
Hugs,
Annie x

The collar looks more red than pink to me, and very smart with it. I think he has forgotten he is wearing it in the photo!
Another lovely cat on your altered book page. keep smiling! Kate x

Now, that is most lovely of you to buy him a pink necklace. Tell him, that he is looking very up to date and that it goes well with his wonderful fur.

No way that cute boy is in a bag. He is front and center with an audience, even if he's wearing red. xox

So cute. I'm sure he and Tammy would get on well. She would love to be in my studio helping me, but she says she finds puppies tiresome, especially when they want to play games with cats. thank you for your lovely comments on my blog. Nice to find you are another vincent fan! Unfortunately, Hubby's brother is taken.
Hope your internet problems sort themselves out

So cute! I think he was hugging. That's what Gracie does when she's being affectionate....she pushes her face/top of head into me.
Very clever collage! I like that you used a "ransom alphabet" for your words.

Spunky would tear it off, if we put one on. He would disappear and return when it was gone. He does look nice in it and it looks red not pink.

Aww bless! Such a shame as I commented to one of my (male) colleagues, that I think men look good in pink!
Lovely journal page too!

A great journal page!!!! My cats love to play with paper sack too. It's fun and funny to watch. Especially when two of them try to get into one rather small bag that really wouldn't hold one comfortably.

T is swooning! I'm smiling. Great journal page you've got going there. So nice of Bleubeard to give you a paw with it. :)) Hugs from all of us.

I think Bleubeard looks dashing in his bright pink collar. He's just used to the "manly, man" look. He's so handsome. I love the journal page in his honor! xo

Nothing wrong with a little bit of pink.
I adore your journal page :)
Thanks for the smiles,
Laura

Your adventures with Bleubeard ALWAYS make me smile. I don't think he minded the collar nearly as much as he made you believe...

What a treasure he is all shy and coy but a handsome man that should not be made to wear a collar like that, get him one with diamond bling instead of pink, albeit it looks red from here. Great journalling too.

Hugs Eliza
