Index Card a Day, July 27 to the END (July 31)

I'm linking to Tammy at Daisy Yellow with my final ICADs. Fun at times, not so fun at others.  But I finished and that should give me some sort of star, at least.  And it should give me permission the right to add the ICAD image to my Previous Collaborations page.

Time to see the last of my ICADs, where this week the theme was collage: sew, glue, or staple.  Now those who visit often know this was right up my alley, so I had fun with this theme.

Day 57
I simply had to continue with my heart theme, while layering cardstock and dyed paper over a leftover background from one of my SOC entries.

Day 58
Sewing took back stage to another heart, this time cut from cardstock that had been misted with my hand made shimmer mists and more leftovers from a SOC entry.

Day 59
I'm trying to use up all those leftovers I have gathered over the past few months.  Sewing took center stage, and reds were definitely in different (and clashing) shades.

Day 60
A gifted tag (thanks Dawn) and more collage fodder made sewing this one fun.

And before I show my final ICAD, I wanted to recap the month of July.  Sadly, July has 31 days, which is hard to divide evenly.  I went to Big Huge Labs for help.

Here is a look back at snippets of what I made in July, with the exception of

Day 61
For my final ICAD, I named this one Homage to Daisy Yellow.

As far as the book I planned to make?

It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind, right?  As it was, it took two days to make this.  I'll step you through how I made it in a couple of days.

It's been fun and I am glad I did it.  I may never do it again, but I'm glad I got to meet so many of you wonderfully talented artists who turn these index cards into mini works of art.  Thank you all.

Your cards look absolutely wonderful all together in the collage and in your box. Tammy will love your last card for her I am sure. I'm pleased to have met you during this project and am looking forward to exploring your blog now. :)

Congratulations!! isn't it nice to sit back and just take it all in now that your done. You did so good! I really like No. 59-the shapes are what really ties them all together and unifies the mix-match of pieces.

Congrats on getting thru them all. I love these, think the second on is my favorite but love them all. The last one is perfect for today and for Tammy, so pretty!!

I did icad on/off thru the summer, it was my first time for them and for SOC and as you know my time went more towards SOC. Next year I hope to do better with them. It's cool to see the collage of all the ones you've done, AWESOME JOB!!
I peeked at some of the links for your T for Tuesday, didn't leave comments just had to fly thru them. Looks so fun and great posts for this theme, has my wheels turning already.
So glad you could see my post and my mandala. Thanks so much for your sweet words, made my day. I tell you the little ones helped me big time and I just let them put things where they wanted. I realllly enjoyed the one you made. I actually gathered some goodies around the yard yesterday and made up some more, had a blast except for this gardener snake that was crawling around the area. Totally freaked me out all day then he finally left.
To think we met thru our love for color this summer. I'm so glad you were linked first each time, some weeks I didn't make it thru the list and might have missed your inspiration and fun blog.
Take care new friend and hope to see you next Monday and Tuesday!

i've loved seeing your icads. i can't help but think how great a project this would've made for our family when the kids were younger. i think decorating index cards would make the perfect ice breaker for a group. i see lots of applications for this.

if i made them, i'd end up using most of them as bookmarks :)

Very nice, E. it isn't easy to create something beautiful everyday, for any period of time, but you did it!!!
