The first sun tea of the year

For this Tuesday Tea, I invite you to my sun tea party, the first for 2013.

The sun has also been invited, but it's being chased by the wind.  You can tell by the way the tea bags are flying around.

I'll probably have a macrame time unwinding these cute little tags once the tea is ready.

So why, you ask, am I now in my craft room?  I've prepared this tea for art purposes, because I don't really care for the taste of it.

And here are the results of some of the pages I dyed, as well as the tea bags (and tags) that will now be turned into art projects.

Today, which is Day 9 of 22, I kept three (along with others I didn't show) book pages out of the landfill, as well as 10 tea bags and tags.  Of course, the dried tea will go into my compost container.

Glad you have some sun, we did too yesterday and it was lovely to peek my toes outside of boots for a change. Landfill papers have great character all their own, tea bag additions should be fun! xox

How nice to harness the sun...you did have me thinking "boy Elizabeth likes her tea strong" LOL
Silly me ... great use of tea indeed
and your photo capture of the wind blown tea tags is great!
Happy T to you

Hi Elizabeth,

Oh, the darn wind. Spring is our windy time here and I absolutely hate it. Today we are getting snow -- who said it was spring?!?

Great pages, by the way.

Peace,
Kay

I have a few boxes of tea that are strictly for craft purposes, too, but I never thought of brewing them up this way rather than boiling.

Nice to see the sun this time of year. I like all of your recycling project but I really like tea and coffee dyed papers and lace!

Another great idea. I think I need to make stronger tea when I try dying. My pages don't look as good as yours.

Love these tea stained pages and bags. You'll do something wonderful with them I'm sure.
