International Tea

I realize I still can't see my own blog, or leave comments to anyone on blogger, but I couldn't go without celebrating Tea Tuesday, the only thing I can actually do lately.  So today, I'm celebrating with a distinctly international flare.  The heather tea is from Scotland and the mug is from the vintage French collection of Taylor and Ng, a San Francisco company that was popular in the 1970s and early 1980s.  The company closed its doors in 1985.  This one was made in 1979, as were all my vintage Taylor and Ng animal mugs.  The tea bag holder comes from Scotland and has a definite British design.  It was a gift from my very British friend Annette (Voodoo Vixen), who is headed from Scotland to Australia in a few weeks.

I always love to watch the steaming water take over the tea bag and turn the tea into a delightful color.  Although I'm not much of a tea drinker, especially not like most of my Tea Tuesday friends, this is my one luxury each week when I prepare some type of tea.

Now that the tea is ready, I'll wrap my hands around this extra large mug, add cream to the drink, and enjoy an international drink fest.  Please join me for Tea Tuesday, no matter what you are drinking.

beautiful set up elizabeth!
i love the 'horse' themed cup. did you have horses growing up? (or is it the 'rocking' horse that you love?

either way, i have missed your posts. and i have missed your visits.

have you figured out what the problem is? is it the computer? or is it the internet connection?

maybe it's time for a new fangled, wireless internet connection and a new lap top computer, that you cant take anywhere.

hope all is better soon.

Hi Elizabeth,

Dang blogger! I love your tea mug. The deep blue color is great. How does the heather tea taste? I am a big time tea drinker (usually iced).

Hugs,
Kay

OK Missy ... maybe you need to consider coming over to WordPress if Blogger can't seem to get its act together! This has been going on for a longggg time!

What a great cup ... it's a good day here in VA to hug a warm cuppa something too :)

So glad you are at least still able to use Sally's to pop in with a status report now and then.
I'm with Patty...how about making the move to WordPress. I am in a couple weeks. Then you'd have a brand new empty storage to hold you photos.

I'm glad you have such a good friend in Sally so you can at least post once a week. Pretty mug and bag holder! All is well here...beading and claying as usual!

Your 'tea'posts are delightful Patty. You must have a HUGE collection of cups, mugs, etc....not to mention table settings.
