Happy New Year Tea

The midnight party is over, the noisemakers are silent, the candles have been extinguished, only a few fireworks remain, the snowstorm turned to ice overnight, and time has run out on 2012.  However, I have a few of my favorite things from 2012 to remind me of this past year,

including a favorite mug that is holding the freshly ground French Roast coffee I need to start this day.  After all, I have company, and we plan to continue the celebration by watching the Rose Bowl Parade, then a football game or two while staying safe and warm inside.

Have a joyous Tea Tuesday and a festive New Year's Day celebration.  I hope you enjoy your favorite drink this day, but if you drink alcohol, please don't drive afterward.  My guests didn't last night, so I hope you use the same good sense.  I want to see you around the rest of the year.

I wish you a very happy, healty, creative and good 2013!
I've got a cup of hot winter tea. (the best seasonal flavor by Pickwick). Although coffee would probably be better cause I'm still a bit sleepy from last night :)

Have my coffee and am ready to start the new year. We will be home today, football on. I'm not a big fan but like to keep DH company. I've been looking at knit and crochet hat patterns. I think I may raid the yarn stash and start a hat while the game is on. I can appear to be watching the game at least :-)
