And then it rained

Some of you may have read (when I left you a comment) that after I got my computer working again (due to a wrong monitor cord), my electricity went out.  Sadly, you can't see the rain pouring down outside when I took this picture from my front porch, but the sun was shining through the clouds and the lightening was flashing.  It put a huge damper on my next door neighbor's birthday party they were celebrating for one of their children.  It also knocked out the electricity in my neighborhood.

I was in the process of creating a few more art flags, but I needed electricity to finish them.  This is what they looked like when I put them away later that day before the electricity was restored.  Not much to show, but some progress is better than none, I suppose.  I hope you are having an electrifying day!

oh, your art flags are very pretty, even unfinished! great color and wonderful lace. sorry to hear about the electricity, but candle light is nice sometimes too, though the sewing machine won't work on candle power...lol. I think your clouds and rain are coming this way (to Ohio) because it's dreary, windy, and sprinkling at the moment. The pretty leaves will be stripped from the trees in short order. Have a terrific day dear E!

Your creative energy is electrifying dear E...it is easy to take electricity for granted UNTIL we don't have it...our fridge went on the fritz and the trying to replace it sage keeps going and going it seems

your flags already look wonderful...I too have been playing with some flags using some of my monoprinted fabric pieces

Happy Thursday!

Live really likes it's funny little jokes with you. Good grief! But at least you're still creating. Me, I'm about to go out in the rain. But that's par for the course where I live!

Good luck and I hope everything gets sorted soon.

I have things to do when the electricity goes out, usually things that I procrastinate about when I have electricity! They always include cleaning, paying bills, exercising...etc. lol Guess I am a lazy mess otherwise! Leaves are turning all shades over here, raining....but no power outages! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

It always rains when you don't want it to and it would be the day you planned to sew.

on the prayer flags the only guideline I followed was making a fabric flag that measures approx 5 x 11" including a 3" fold over for stringing

the swap I'm in is for the end of the year, I've been ready for more than a month...got excited I guess ;)

I think "your" rain is set to make a visit here tomorrow. Spent the day refinishing a piece of furniture & "supervising" husband putting gutter guards on our roof. Hopefully, they will work & he won't have to go up on the roof so often.

Thanks for entering my giveaway and for your nice comments on my tutorial. I just got the buttons about a week ago and did the tut last weekend.

I do miss rain! With the end of the year, we will at some point head into our winter season which sometimes brings rain -- usually enough to make a mess with all the dust and dirt that has gathered throughout the year. :/ Hope you have a great day and are able to get those art flags done. Best wishes, Tammy

You've had so much trouble getting online lately. Hope the situation improves for you soon. I look forward to our first rain of the season. Of course the time will come when I look forward to the LAST rain of the season as well, LOL!

Sorry you lost power when you needed it. Been raining here, too, since Wednesday. We need the rain. :)

Loosing power in the rain is no fun. Looking forward to seeing more of the flags.
