Playing around

I don't have a completed project for this post, because I was just playing! Actually I am gone. My friend Kathy is coming for a visit for the first time since her back operation. I hope she is up to shopping, because I know that's what she wants to do. And yes, I'll take you along and show pictures of our day. For these hand painted pages, here is what I started with and

these are what I made. Lots of hand painted paper. I got a little too much (OK, quite a bit too much) paint on the first four papers (the ones underneath). All the colors eventually blended together, and I kept transferring a big blob of paint from one sheet of cardstock to the next.

On the fabric front, I made these little flags. For this one I used a little lace, a swatch of hand painted Cream of Wheat resist fabric, a rubber stamp, and a Micron ink pen. The fabric curled when I scanned it, so I hope you can read "Sunshine Day."

This one was supposed to be humorous, but I left too much room after I wrote the first "Carp" Diem. The fish is rather pale, but the Micron pen did a good job with "Catch of the day.

Just playing with no means to an end. Be back to visit YOU when Kathy goes home this evening.
