WOYWW 123: Gifts from afar

Julia, our fearless leader wants to know what's on our work table (desk, bench, etc.) this Wednesday, and I am here to show gifts from afar! WOYWWendy is hiding in the background for fear she will get shipped off to some far land. Not true, Wendy!

At the back is a box from my tea friend, Pat, at Artfully Ooglebloops. Pat lives in the United States and we share tea on Tea Tuesday.

In front, and to the left is a gift I received all the way from Australia from Sandra De, a WOYWW participant. On the right is a gift from Kezzy another WOYWWer who lives in England. Kezzy sent this to me well over a month ago, and we both felt it had been lost in the mail. However, it has now arrived and I am thrilled. BUT WAIT!! Where are my weekly rocking horses?

They were inside the envelopes, of course!

I know. You don't have to tell me my camera sucks. If I'm not at the right focal length, any and everything in the shot is out of focus. Close-ups are nearly impossible. However, maybe you can see the small rocking horse on the necklace, as well as the steampunk inspired ATC and one of three tags Sandra included in her gift.

Sandra was also worried that her package to me had gone astray. It arrived sometime last week while I was out of town when my mail was held. Guess that was the secret to receiving these gifts. I can't thank Sandra via e-mail because it still isn't working, but her gifts to me touched my heart none-the-less.

Sadly one of the little guys that Kezzy sent me was broken. But that didn't matter to me. I will certainly either find a way to attach his head or use him in a piece of art as I have done in the past. Believe me Kezzy, he is no less loved and has joined the ranks of the well loved rocking horses.

And I can't thank Kezzy enough, either. I remember how excited she was that these little guys would be part of the rocking horse "clan." Now they are here and they, as well as I, are totally thrilled and excited they have joined the group. These little guys feel at home already and know they are in good and loving hands!

So what's in the box? Pat is not a WOYWW participant, so I will show her gift tomorrow (actually that would be today, since this post went up very late Tuesday night).

Great gifts Elizabeth! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind message. Yes, I know it seems odd that I blogged this week, but - there you go, that's me! and nearly 88 is a great achievement.

I seem to have returned to WOYWW in a time when you keep disappearing! - I'm sure it was unheard of in earlier postings ;) It really isn't the same without you. So many lovely parcels, in these days of the electronic age it is even more special when stuff arrives by post. I agree with Kezzy's sentiment the response I had to a PIF gift recently had me dancing around for a few hours in an otherwise very low moment. How wonderful to be so treasured!

Isn't there a game show called 'What's in the Box'? I love it - I'm going to guess at something tea-ish, but only because of the way you describe knowing Pat.Ooh, you could have a whole blog of this sort of thing! Lovely gifts from Sandra and Kezzy - isn't it nice to think that when people see something - they think of you.....

much...I ALWAYS get must and much muddled! I hate that word. At the age of five/six/ I was told to write out 20 times I must not talk in class...and I couldn't spell must! I remember to this day crying my eyes out in an angry temper, because the teacher would not tell me! So, even now I have a rhyme m-ust u-se s-ticky t-ape.
