Inspiration Avenue: my inspiration

From October 16 to 23, Inspiration Avenue is having a blog party. Any and everybody can join in this blog party by linking to Inspiration Avenue and showing what their inspiration is. Learn more about the party requirements at Inspiration Avenue.

As usual, I wait until Friday to share my challenge piece. This challenge comes on the heels of IA getting 500 plus followers. So the idea was, we are to share what our inspiration is. It could be any media, but it had to inspire us.

Originally I considered paper and fabric, two things I've been working on for Halloween. But those pieces, although one was paper, the other fabric and similar in style, were things I could work with at any time. That's when I realized there was truly one nearly hidden inspiration behind this blog, even though he seldom goes in my main floor craft room, but often joins me in the basement craft area and my outside craft space.

I guess the silent inspiration behind Altered Book Lover is the other member of this blog. You see his icon when I leave a message,

you see his face on the blog banner. You see him in decent light and

in light where his fur is washed out.

If I feel artistic, you might see him stylized,

sketched, or

in half tones.

You might even see him in Warhol style pop-art.

And thanks to an internet program called Big Huge Labs, you can see him framed.

Just please don't forget, he is my inspiration and the other half of Altered Book Lover. As you can see, we are always pleased and inspired when you welcome both Bleubeard and Elizabeth to the party.

Please visit Inspiration Avenue with your inspiration, or to see what inspires others.
