A lttle give, a little get

I recently sent my friend Halle her birthday gift. It is either very late or very early for next year, since her birthday was in early May. Apparently I'm not just the Queen of Free, but also the Queen of Tardiness. Thankfully, now that Halle has received her gift, I can show it. I used several images, most of which I found on Halle's Friday Freebies, along with my favorite little girl from Terri's Pringle Hill Studio. Halle called to tell me she had the perfect piece of driftwood that would just fit the large loops I always add to my quiltlets. This one was made using fabric paper and Halle's favorite colors. Feel free to click to enlarge.

In addition to sending Halle's gift, I received this month's six player tip-ins from Jan of Dandelion and Daisy. Jan generously waited for my boxes to get unpacked so I could actually sit and appreciate these beauties. And appreciate I DID. These are stunning. For those who don't know, my swap colors are rust and white.

Aren't they stunning? Jan, who recently joined this nearly failed swap when two people backed out, is an excellent artist.

Once again, I got a page with fabric, which seems to be a theme that everyone in this swap has used.

I'm totally impressed with these beauties and I want to thank Jan from the bottom of my heart for these absolutely STUNNING works of art.

Have a super weekend everyone and a great three day Labor Day holiday for those of you who live in the United States.

Such lovely creations. The quiltlet is just great. I am sure she is thrilled to get her birthday present, late or early. : ) And I like the idea of a page tip-in swap. That is such a good idea - much easier to mail. Your friend did a lovely job, too.

Wow, I'd love that birthday present....no matter how late it was! Thanks for your kind words about the color swap pages, I'm glad you like them. I'm happy I joined, even tho' it has been a bit of a challenge for me....but that is a good thing.
