Final signatures for Patty's scrappy journal

I'm sure some of you are wondering where I have been. I'm sorry I haven't been around, but I have not been well. I am trying to get all my OWOH pieces in the mail by tomorrow, as well as my 6 X 6 swap to Duane. But unfortunately, I lost my footing on my steps to the basement last week, and my life has not been the same since. Thus, I have not been around to any of my favorite blogs, except to tell people they have won a gift. I also hobbled to the mailbox on Friday and Saturday, and the gifts are still not all gone. I'm amazed at how long it takes to send mail to others, especially 29 gifts. Not only have I not been able to walk well, my right hand is practically non-functional. I am typing with my left hand for the most part. However, I WILL be around tomorrow after I fix tea, whether you drink tea or not.

Some of you may remember I posted the first of Patty's visual journal some time ago. Here are the rest of those pages. Be sure to click ONCE for the full picture, and twice for a close up.

I used a few stickers in the Vote page.

The king collage is a rubber stamp.

Pockets are filled with tags for Patty to decorate.

I'm never sure how well pink and red go together.

The yellow arrows are by Post It.

I try to keep the center of each signature free of too many images.

The pocket on the right is wallpaper. I included a decorated tag.

I like to leave room for people to write their thoughts, or add a favorite image.

I was definitely on a sewing kick when I had Patty in mind.

I'm not sure how well Patty will be able to write on the page on the left, since this is a painted page that also has color mist added.

There are two pockets on the left and one on the right. I made sure the image on the back (doily) would match up to the pocket, so it would look like a basket.

It's pretty obvious which side I sewed first.

Once more, I apologize for not visiting each of my dear friends who make my days brighter but I've had to stop three times since I started this post in order to rest my right hand and nurse my damaged ankles. Have you ever tried to work your mouse with your non-dexterous hand? And if I've made any glaring spelling or wording mistakes, please understand I didn't go back to reread this post like I normally do.

Thanks for stopping by today. I know it will make my day when I read your comments this evening.

So sorry to hear of your fall, You are such a devoted blogger. Take a well deserved break, soak in the tub, please have someone pamper you... I wish I could pick flowers from my garden and send them your way but it is the middle of winter here in Minnesota. We just got more snow and ice! Take care of yourself and heal quickly. Blessings~Barb

This has NOT been your year....and it's only February. But, I think you have had your "three things", you've gotten them all out of the way, and it's all up hill from here on out. Your sigs are great, really like the envelope for a pocket idea. Gonna' steal that one! Get well SOON!

Elizabeth! How alarming! Have you been checked over and x rayed? Apaprt from sore ankles and a hand that doesn't work (as if that's not enough), are you over the shock - that sort of accident is horrible. Oh my, I wish you were just around the corner. The postal issues can wait, please stay off your feet as much as you can until you are driven to distraction by boredom, at least.
Patty will be thrilled with her journal - I'm sure that knowing that alone will cheer you.

Oh heck Elizabeth, what on earth have you gone and done to yourself now? I am so sorry you have hurt yourself, broke my right hand once and know exactly how awkward it is trying to do normal stuff with the 'wrong' hand!! You rest and get well, hope you are in less pain soon, until then, things will wait and you shouldn't worry about them!! hugs my friend, you really are having a dreadful start to 2011!!

So sorry to hear of your injuries. I can't imagine pressing on when you feel so miserable. I do love the pages of this book - I think my favorite is the window envelope with the tags, just because it is so original.

Take care of yourself, blogging will wait.

Hope your recovery goes well.. a most unwelcome occurrence! And right when you needed to be getting some things taken care of. Guess there's no good time for things like this. Be well!

Oh Elizabeth- those steps have just caused one problem after another for you! I am SO sorry that you're going through this and hope you feel better soon! Also your poor hand! I am TOTALLY left handed and can barely use my right- so you have more sympathy there :)
I love your pages, btw, the design is so elegant and simple and the colors are wonderful! My favorite is the one that looks like it was stamped with a honetcomb (?) shape....beautiful!
I hope you're back to normal soon and don't forget to take care of yourself!
Hugs,
Stephanie

I DO LOVE YOU B&E

I just read your lecture to all who do not leave comemtns for Mrs D,

I agree - jolly bad form,

a man or woman can be measured by their good (or bad) etiquette (e)

e = p's and Q's squared (e=mc2)

Queen of e ( that's you...)

not the drug E oh no - I am not at all suggesting you are on drugs . even with your injuries...
