A sneak peek

I almost didn't post anything today. I didn't even check my computer until a few minutes ago. I was so lifted by the lovely comments I received on my previous post, I decided to show a sneak peek of something I worked on last night.

I had intended to get in my craft room and play today, but that didn't happen. I went shopping for groceries and supplies in case we get snow like they are predicting. I stocked up on matches for my stick incense, which I use to light my well stocked supply of candles, along with enough food for Bleubeard to last through the winter (two 20 lb bags), cat litter, and a few treats because he may have to be bribed to stay inside for several days. I also bought groceries for myself, and stopped by my local thrift store/charity shop just to look around for inspiration. Of course, I couldn't leave empty handed, so picked up two packages of half used buttons. One card looked rather old.

After that, I was exhausted. Yesterday my friend Kathy from Hutchinson came to visit. I took my camera when we went shopping, but didn't take a single shot. When I decided to take a photo or two today, my camera wouldn't turn on, even after I put in new batteries. Oh the joys of electronics. So that leads me to this small sneak peek, which I ended up scanning in order to have something to show.

Paint, collage fodder, and a tiny bit of rubber stamping were combined with sewing to make this page. Sorry. Without a camera, there really isn't much to see. Have a lovely rest of the weekend and thanks to everyone for being so very supportive. You have NO idea how very, very much this means to me.

I really like red with greys and doesn't stitching give everything a lift?
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog.
It is so necessary to get ready for the snow; it will probably come. When they predict snow here it often does not appear, I expect it's because we are in a very shallow valley.
Have fun with the rest of the weekend!

Glad you stocked up on goodies, especially Bleubeard's requirements, so you should be able to survive for a wee while if it does snow. It has been snowing most of the day here but we have a wind as well so it's drifting and feels lots colder than it actually is! I went to a thrift shop today too! Oooh, wait till you see what I found... you will be cabbage green!
Love what you have been playing with, the colours are gorgeous!

I think your camera knows you want to replace it and had become curmudgeonly

sell something and get yourself a Really Good Cannon/Nikon

my D90 is as important to me as my brushes.

You definitely are off to a good start on your collage.

I actually was able to fix my camera by going online and checking out the troubleshooting links. I was amazed at how many people were willing to share their information. I would have bet a million dollars I wouldn't find the answer there but it worked.

Good luck on the snow. We've got a lot right now and I am loving it.
