Happy Thanksgiving (from the US of A)

Today is Thanksgiving if you live in the United States.

It is a time when families gather to give thanks. Prayer, in the form of grace is often given before the meal.

Originally celebrated as a religious holiday for giving thanks to God for helping the Pilgrims make it through the first year at Plymouth Colony, Thanksgiving now includes such events as the Presidential pardoning of two turkeys, the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, and a gathering of family for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, making it one of the busiest travel days of the year.

Thanksgiving is also a celebration of the harvest and a day to watch a favorite football team.

So enjoy today, eat veggies and pumpkin pie instead of turkeys, maybe even do the turkey trot, then prepare yourself for BLACK FRIDAY!

However and wherever you spend it, have a safe, happy, and thankful holiday.

Sometimes you perform an internet search looking for one thing and find something totally surprising. I was looking for "unknown artists," and ran across Kevin Daniel's web site. Kevin features unknown artists on his site, as well as American, UK, Canadian, South American, and Asian artists. There is a lot to inspire you today at Kevin Daniel's web site.

Happy Thanksgiving. We aren't too traditional about this holiday but if I knew how to do the turkey trot I surely would :-)
