I've been infected and a sneak peek

Sometime early Wednesday morning, my computer got infected with a virus that I cannot seem to get rid of. I am now working on getting rid of it, but I was actually afraid to visit anyone yesterday for fear of infecting others. I even set my blog post on auto in order to stay off the computer as much as possible. However, after some careful checking, I'm hoping I will not infect anyone else. This bugger is nasty, and it slows me down, while freezing my computer every few minutes by running a fake security scan. So, if I haven't visited you for awhile, it's because I was worried about your safety. I hope to make up for that today.

Besides fighting the nasty virus, mowing my lawn the only day it was actually cool AND not raining, and catching up on housework, I have this sneak peek.

You'll be delighted to know that I am just about finished with the individual pages for my next journal, which is about the color Teal and for a one-on-one color swap. I've learned a lot about making these journals since the first ones I made, and will be showing the first signature as soon as it is finished. Have a great day everyone.

I've never made a secret of the fact that I'm not a doodler. I don't draw, I don't doodle, I don't Zentangle. However, many of my art friends do, so I thought I would honor them with today's blog: Zentangle. If you want to see some very talented people displaying some really exquisite Zentangles, you should really check this site out. It will inspire you doodlers and show what you can do with a bit of ink and lot patience.

ooh had that infection a year or so back - nasty one to clear indeed, as I recall included starting the PC is safe mode and using msdos language (God I'm old) to search for and delete some really nasty files..., glad you are still finding a way to post, and looking forward to seeing the signatures as they emerge...and thanks for being so careful...

Sorry to hear about the computer glitch. I had a small one last week to that had to do with the embed.

Thanks for posting link the the zentangle site. I have posted their URL to my side bar for inspiration. I tried a zentangle yesterday and it was turned out bad. I think you have to be a math oriented person as well as an artist to be good at these. Or, maybe it's just me.

I also want to comment on your last post. Those colors-the pinks especially that came through on your piece were really lovely. I know you were happy to have a good outcome after some of the frustrations you experienced last week.

Ohhhhh, Noooooo! Don't you wish you could order an antibiotic for the computer virus??? So sorry to hear that you've got problems. Thanks for the Zentangle link - I'm off to investigate! Happy Weekend, Elizabeth!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo

Ooh I look forward to the big reveal tomorrow. BTW you don't need to be able to sew a straight line for an art quilt so perhaps you could tackle one of those; something I keep promising myself I'll do ;-) Am glad it's cooler for you.
Hope you get the nasty virus sorted. I had one earlier this year and ended up with icons on my desktop for RudeTube.com, PornTube.com and RudePorn.com :-0 Really!! and of course I felt it was my duty to check them out just in case - nooooooooo not really LOL. I was gobsmacked!

I've had a simular problem this week with my computer. It's so frustrating! I honestly don't realize how dependent I am on this dang machine until it blips out on me. I hope yours is fixed now. I got some new software that is supposed to be the antibiotic as Terri called it. Fingers crossed!
Can't wait to see your teal journal....I ramble on about teal on my blog all the time. I'm quite obsessed with it I think! :) Nan

have you tried running 'housecall'? you can get it free by searching for Trend Micro.

also what security do you have? Please don't say Norton...download the free AVG.

Thank you for your kind words today, really appreciate it.

Spybot Search & Destroy is free and hasn't failed me yet in getting rid of a virus/trojan. Hope that helps. As Darcy says, AVG free or buy the full version you cant go wrong, Norton is rubbish stay away from it. I use spybot once a week just to do a thorough search and keep AVG on every day as it doesn't use much bandwidth or memory.

Sure wish those virus creators out there would use their time, energy, and creativity to create goodness rather than grief!

Hello there, lovely to 'meet' you, I found my way here from WOWW and your great welcoming comments on my blog, Thank you!
That virus sounds awful I do hope you are sorted now, I did have one recently quite similar and managed to sort it out but it was a huge learning curve for me.
I have been very nosily checking out your work and I love it, your latest looks beautiful, all those pretty pastel colours, can't wait to see more! :D xx

Hi, coming here via Spyders blog-

Darcy is right...

I run AVG and have had no problems since - Kaperski is good too but isn't free - Norton, I found, is no use at all,

noticed that Spyder is gonna learn some altered booking skills from you - may I also sit at your knee and pick up new skills?

maybe we can exchange some art if you choose not to charge for your wisdom/tutorials?
