Anniversary Arches Swap

By now, all of the players should have received their swaps with the exception of our international players. I received permission to post these on my blog. I also encouraged all the players with blogs to show their swaps, too. Each player's name is to the left of their arch front. In case you can't tell, this is ABC's 7th anniversary. PLEASE ENLARGE (click on photo) for better detail.

Both Ingrid

and Gina

sent two each.

Duane's is far more beautiful than any scan could pick up. It really does look like stained glass.

Rita's front

opens to a triptych.

The one at the bottom is from Dianne and it's a hostess gift. It is beautifully decorated on both sides, but I chose to show this side only. Thanks Dianne for this beautiful one-of-a-kind arch.

Can't get enough arches? Then Sugar Lump Studios, my blog pick of the day, is the place you want to be. Nancy Maxwell James, a Michigan (US) artist, whose collages, assemblages, and mixed media art will blow you away, is also a designer for Paper Whimsey. I can't say enough wonderful things about Nancy's art. I could study her pieces all day long. First, for the great composition, something I am exceptionally poor at, and second, for the excellent use of color, something I am good at.

But I promised more arches, so here is a direct link to a FREE downloadable e-book of Gothic Arches created and authored by Nancy, with help from some some pretty spectacular contributing artists, such as my good friend Patty, from whom I learned about this book. Thanks go to Nancy for allowing us to experience this project, and for Sugar Lump Studios.

Now to get busy and create a book from them...thanks so much for hosting this, and the link to today's blog...wonderful ebook! glad you liked the arch giftie...winding that copper wire around the bottom was not easy, but worth it once it was done. Couldn't resist the Medieval image from one of my Goodwill finds!
