An altered Recipe Book

Remember this lovely book I got from Halle on the third day of the Christmas swap? I know Halle wouldn't want this gem sitting in a desk or a box somewhere unused, and I've been wanting to start an altered recipe book ever since my friend Carol sent me some lovely tiny spoons and other kitchen related items as a gift.
So here is the first page. My hands were so cold they didn't want to write correctly, but I finally got it all written on the first page using my micro pen. I made a packing tape transfer of the photo of the actual recipe (which included meat, but I left as an alternative only), then added the small spoon.

I plan to turn this book into an altered recipe book and journal. I'll be playing with various styles and working on my journaling skills.

So cool! Glad you came up with a good use for it...and so quickly! Can't wait to see more pages.

What a great idea! I wanted to collage some recipe cards but never did it. I have too many irons in the fire. :) But it's all fun! Love your blog and all the cool things you do with altered art. The altered recipe book / journal will be so much fun to do I'm sure!
